JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD
Jesus’ (Hebrew name is Jehoshua) name means “Yah (God) saves”.
Jesus was born to be saviour and king.
Jesus is called “the son of God” 43 times in the New Testament from Matthew to Revelation.

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Matthew 1:21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from
their sins.
Luke 1:31-32 …you (Mary) shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the
Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David.
JESUS IS THE PROMISED SON TO FUFILL OLD TESTAMENT PROMISES
Jesus is the son (direct descendant) of David and Abraham; two men to whom God made promises.
David was the King of Israel. God promised David that his son would be King forever.
God promised Abraham his son would inherit the land of Canaan. This was the Gospel message.

JESUS HAD HUMAN NATURE
Jesus possessed human nature. He was called “a man”. He was born, tempted with sin, grew up
learning wisdom and in stature, prayed to his Father in heaven, and died.

JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED ACCORDING TO GOD’S PLAN

JESUS WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD AND WILL RETURN TO EARTH AGAIN
