Time for reflection today with a cuppa on the table and notebook close by.
This week I drove through our beautiful settlement to town. The autumnal colours were stunning. The eagles soared over head. The cows and goats were grazing in their paddocks which brings me great joy!
For a while now I have been working on another aspect of my life that has bogged me down for years as I have come to realise that the more my pain/trauma consumed me the more it was controlling me and I have been erasing that issue; flicking the switch.
Progress is hard to recognize in yourself—especially when raw emotions cloud your perspective.
We all have a story to tell, and I know all too well how daunting it can feel to revisit the past. Yet, I’ve learned that true healing requires digging into my histories to see what lies behind closed doors, a process that ultimately brings deep fulfillment.
Much of my journey involves uncovering the long-standing beliefs that shaped my current patterns. While opening up creates space for vulnerability and the risk of being hurt, genuine human connection is always worth that risk.
For me one thing that helped immensely is my faith. My faith in God and His promises for the future. He is the third person in our relationship and one we could not live without. He provides the stability that holds a family together through its stresses.
I am indebted to John and now Phil for their unending patience, understanding, encouragement and to listening to me incessantly. Thankful and grateful for sure.
I saw an amazing person today who you must now go and see too. Go stand in front of the mirror and take a look. YOU are full of the most interesting experiences.
Come and join us on our journey. We are planning our futures by reading the Bible. Check the website for the times and place that we meet. We are ordinary people living ordinary lives and would love to share the Bible with you.
Psalm 139 verse 14:
"Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it."
