GOD REVEALS HIMSELF THROUGH HIS AGENTS

 God is physically unapproachable by mortals

 God has revealed Himself through His agents: angels, people, and Jesus

 Because God’s agents spoke and acted by God’s command, they are called “God”

GOD DWELLS IN UNAPPROACHABLE LIGHT

Key Bible Verse: 1 Timothy 6:15-16

"…he (God) who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone hasimmortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen."

ANGELS CALLED GOD

Key Bible Verse: Genesis 32:24,28

And Jacob was left alone. And a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day.Then he (angel) said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

PEOPLE CALLED GOD

Key Bible Verse: John 10:34-35 (quoting Psalm 82:6)

Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken—"

JESUS CALLED GOD

Key Bible Verse: John 20:27-28

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

JESUS MANIFESTED THE FATHER

Key Bible Verse: John 17:6

“I (Jesus) have manifested your (God’s)name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word."

WE ARE TO MANIFEST THE FATHER LIKE JESUS DID

Key Bible Verse: John 14:7-11

"If you had known me (Jesus), you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him andhave seen him.” Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves."
